We are now searching for a proven, ambitious sales professional who can drive advertising revenues from new prospects and build long-term clients in Saudi Arabia and The Nordics (Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden).

Your profile

  • You are a proven, ambitious sales professional who drives advertising revenues from new prospects and builds up long-term clients in several international markets
  • You are an all-round-talent who’s organised, extremely reliable, analytical and ready to work in a time-pressure sales environment
  • You work autonomously and have experience acquiring prospects through conventional channels as well as coming up with new ways that fit the the product you’re selling
  • You are a dynamic person who enjoys ever-changing environments. You tend to aim and achieve higher than your peers, live by the 8020 rule, yet have an eye for detail.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German and/or Arabic is a plus)
  • As an ideal candidate you have several years of sales experience and a strong understanding of the digital advertisement space (programmatic as well as non-programmatic)

Your Job

  • You drive revenue by selling out our ad-inventory for Saudi Arabia as well as The Nordics (Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden) by acquiring direct-customers and/or cutting deals with local agencies/resellers
  • You build long lasting relationships with our clients to ensure they are retained and drive continuous revenue
  • You translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect market data and information to help guide our overall strategies
  • You monitor deal performance and are proactive in addressing new opportunities

Your Tasks:

  • Diving into the daily challenges of the Monetization Squad, supporting the team with your administrative, creative and analytical skills

Site Reliability Engineer

We’ve attracted respected and well-known investors such as Christophe Maire, Adam d’Angelo, and the Floodgate Fund, and even been the subject of several academic papers.

We’re now growing our Engineering team around a culture of sustainability and empowerment. We’re dealing with dynamics such as being local, signup-lean and many more, which give us new problems to solve, and we’re literally breaking new ground in the Social Network space. Data-driven by default, with a bias for quality and code sustainability, and fostering a solid DevOps and Automated Testing culture, Jodel’s Engineering team is the place to be if you’re looking for unique challenges!

What do we value in our Engineering team?

  • Your studies were in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering;

  • Your scripts and code contributions are optimized for reliability and maintainability;
  • You understand the dangers of single points of failure and see your job as a collaborative effort rather than solitary work;
  • Engineering work is mostly about compromises and so you’re always open to discuss different approaches to problems;
  • You’re happy to collaborate with your community and industry, either in open source projects or presenting at meetups and conferences;

Since you’ll be working in the Systems Engineering team…

  • You have advanced experience with Linux, Networks and Kubernetes;
  • You’re ready to contribute with coding skills as well;
  • You are passionate about infrastructure as code;
  • You have a bias to automate things whenever possible;
  • You know how to keep a service available and performant while growing;
  • You know how to monitor services and find problems within infrastructures;
  • You can manage NoSQL database clusters like MongoDB and Redis;
